Airborne power architecture engineering background

Avionics Modules & Airborne Power Conversion Solutions

High-reliability AeroQor® isolated AC-DC PFC converters and AC line filters optimized for demanding commercial and defense aerospace systems compliant with RTCA/DO-160G.

Airborne COTS Hardware

AeroQor® High-Efficiency Airborne Power Conversion Architecture

Engineered specifically for aerospace applications, SynQor's AeroQor® line delivers high power density, active power factor correction (PFC), and stringent line filtering in ruggedized COTS module formats.

Airborne electronic equipment operates in extremely harsh electrical and environmental conditions. Our AeroQor® isolated AC-DC converters and complementary AC line filters are designed to simplify compliance with military and commercial flight standards while providing maximum efficiency and thermal derating headroom across variable frequency power buses (360 Hz to 800 Hz).

01

Active Power Factor Correction

Achieves near-unity power factor (>0.99) with low total harmonic distortion (THD), meeting strict Airbus ABD0100 and Boeing compliance limits.

02

Wide Operating Frequency

Seamlessly accepts 115 Vrms or 230 Vrms AC input over standard 400 Hz and wide-frequency 360 Hz – 800 Hz aircraft power buses.

03

Conduction Cooled Design

Full-brick and half-brick baseplate packages enable reliable operation in sealed, unpressurized avionics bays without forced air cooling.

Engineering FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions — Avionics Power Solutions

AeroQor® modules are engineered to satisfy RTCA/DO-160G (Sections 16, 17, 18, 20, 21, 22), MIL-STD-704 (A-F), Airbus ABD0100, Boeing 787B3-0147, and Boeing D6-44588 standards for airborne power systems.

AeroQor® isolated AC-DC PFC modules operate across variable frequency AC buses from 360 Hz to 800 Hz, as well as standard 400 Hz aircraft power systems and 50/60 Hz ground power equipment.

Synchronous rectification replaces traditional diode rectifiers with actively driven MOSFETs, drastically lowering conduction losses. This yields conversion efficiency up to 92%, reduces thermal management overhead, and improves mean time between failures (MTBF).
